Designer Gunnar Gunnarsson grew up in his family’s optical business, where he spent summer holidays helping to repair glasses and replace lost screws, and wondering how frames can be better made so wearers would get the best value. In 2014, he debuted Reykjavik Eyes, lightweight frames with seamless finishes for ultimate comfort and performance. Proving that great engineering plays well with extraordinary style, each piece embraces the spirit of Icelandic landscapes, a sophisticated palette infused with vibrant hues, capturing the country’s iconic fjords, waterfalls, lava fields, glaciers and mountain ranges. The answer is OVVO Optics, each frame meticulously handcrafted through 85 precise and sophisticated steps for optimum reliability x lightweight comfort, no matter how, where and why you wear it.
How Indestructible?
Since no material both unfailingly durable and remarkably lightweight existed, OVVO forged their own composite, a patented blend of 70% military grade surgical steel and 30% titanium. This same type of metal is used in spacecraft development - it’s also heat resistant and its flex memory “remembers” your perfect fit.
Also featuring: screwless hinges, 3D adjustable silicone nosepads, adjustable temple tips with regulated tension adjustment.
Each frame weighs just 17 grams and can withstand up to 45 kilograms of pulling force.

OVVO makes some of the lightest, thinnest wood frames in the world: 2 layers of wood are bookend 9 layers of carbon fiber in a phenomenal composite of natural and technical. These exotic woods — zebrawood, lati and maroon ash — are sustainably harvested from Africa and Central America controlled sources around the world, and show off handsome textures and tones. The rest of the frame is expertly plated in lush 23-karat gold.

It’s like your sunglasses went on a diet, but are mightier than ever in blocking sun glare, UV protection, and durability! Direct from Los Angeles - the city where shades are the most important fashion statement - Roav was designed to be better than bulky and breakable frames. This isn’t conventional eyewear that’s cheaply constructed and all fashion, no function.
Roav is designed in the spirit of adventure with an all-stainless steel body and patented micro hinges press-formed into the frame with fewer parts to break, unlike traditional eyewear with riveted or soldered hinges. Ultra-thin and laser cut, each Roav weighs less than 20 grams, so you’ll no longer experience sore noses and constant slippage. (You’ll barely know they’re there, but all the heads you turn will!) Designed by the wonderfully talented Francis Klein and 100 percent handcrafted by French artisans, this Parisian family business produces each frame with the greatest care and passion using a special acetate create to house unique elements such as real laces, feathers and silk fabrics. The carefully set jewels, beads and Swarovski crystals distinguish the Kleins' creations from others, each with its own personality and attitude to complement your individual style and finesse. You can customise each frame by choosing a colour and decorative gems of your liking – each will be specially manufactured to your specifications, so you’ll be the only one in Singapore, and perhaps the world, to own that very individual Francis Klein frame or sunglasses.
